Kim Kardashian is over contouring and we don’t even know what’s going on anymore

Guys, something CRAZY has happened. The contouring queen — Kim Kardashian, of course — may actually be over contouring. Life is a lie and we don’t know what’s happening anymore.

In a panel in London at the Vogue Festival on Saturday, Kim spoke to makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and Vogue‘s Fiona Golfar and said that she’s done with all of the bronzer and hollowed cheeks. “Now when I travel I just bring a small makeup case, and I’m content with that,” she explained. “. . . I love contouring and I don’t think I’d stop contouring my nose — I know people think I’ve had a nose job but it really is just makeup!”

Although it’s rather shocking that the Contouring Queen is no more, some may be a little relieved about the news. (Personally, I never managed to nail down contouring without making myself look like a clown.) However, Kim isn’t just going makeup-free — that’s not her style. What she’s really into now is “nontouring.” So, what is that? “I think right now it’s more about nontouring, like real skin with less makeup on it. I’m trying to wear less. . . and my husband loves me without makeup,” she said, as Kanye watched her from the front row.

Kim is also “really into strobing now,” which is “just highlighting the skin without using bronzer.” In fact, she said the earlier episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians made her cringe because of “crazy hair and bad makeup.” However, it’s the early years that ignited her passion for beauty, from playing with her mom’s makeup collection — which ultimately led to her being sent to makeup school with her sis, Kourtney.

“They taught us everything, all the techniques,” she said. “My daughter loves playing with make-up just like I did. I went to make-up school at age 14, and I’d do the same for her.”

That said, it definitely seems like Kim is going for a more toned-down look. But we can’t help but wonder. . . what else is in that new small makeup case? “An eyelash curler, a mini Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the perfect nude that she created for me, mascara – Charlotte’s Legendary Lashes is my favourite – my Joe Blasco foundation, a little MAC kabuki brush, a gold eye pencil by Kardashian Beauty, a small pot of powder, blush and my Smashbox bronzer,” she said.

Well, even if Kim isn’t into contouring anymore, she’s still giving us some fab makeup recs — and we sincerely hope *that* never changes.
