Kim Kardashian clapped back after people accused her of “partying” while Saint was in the hospital
Yesterday, January 2nd, Kim Kardashian confirmed that her son Saint West had been admitted to an L.A.- area hospital for pneumonia. And now she’s defending herself from haters who are suggesting she left Saint alone in the hospital to celebrate New Year’s Eve and “party.”
For some background, Kim posted a few glamorous shots to her Instagram account on January 1st. The pics featured Kim in a gorgeous white dress, ringing in the New Year with friends. She also posted a video of the New Year’s countdown that included a sweet kiss with Kanye.
The next day, Kim revealed to fans that two-year-old Saint had spent several days in the hospital. “After spending three nights in the hospital & seeing my baby get multiple IV’s and hooked up to oxygen machines, our end of year was challenging,” she wrote.
Here’s a video from Kim’s initial New Year’s posts:
And here was Kim’s update on Saint:
While it seemed pretty obvious to most that Kim was celebrating New Years after Saint was safely home, some naysayers apparently accused the reality star of leaving his side to “party.” And Kim is NOT having it. She just posted the following tweet:
I haven't heard this BUT lets get this straight. I did not leave my son for one minute during his hospital stay. We were there Wednesday night to Saturday. NYE WAS SUNDAY NIGHT. People came over when he was already asleep for the night! Don't even try me when it comes to my kids https://t.co/wrl47awaUr

While we know that the Kardashians choose to put much of their lives on display for public viewing (which, of course, often leads to scrutiny), we genuinely feel for Kim on this one. Enjoying a night out after your kids are asleep — and after you just spent three straight days in the hospital — isn’t a crime. (And in fact, what better reason to celebrate the New Year then the recent recovery of your child?)
Kim shouldn’t have to explain her parenting decisions to anyone, but we hope her post will remind followers to judge others less. Hopefully that’s something we can all agree on for 2018.
