It’s only Tuesday, but kids reacting to VCRs is already our favorite video of the week
TheFineBros are the YouTube geniuses behind the hilarious videos of different people reacting to different things. For their weekly “Kids React to Technology” series, they took a bunch of kids and set them up in front of a VCR — something most kids have clearly not experienced in their short lifetime. Because why would they have? VCRs in 2015 are equivalent to eye contact in 2015. New technology has basically caused people to stop using it.
Sorry — that was rude (but we all know it’s true!).
Some of the kids were aware that the giant, foreign box in front of them was, in fact, a VCR — but most thought it was a music player of some sort. You know, one of those ancient CD players.
Watching this obviously made us feel old, but we didn’t feel ANCIENT until one little girl shared that her friend once had an “80s birthday party”. You guys, that would have been like us having a ’50s or ’60s birthday party when we were kids. Oy. Also, to the girl who pretended to faint after she was told people of the ’80s and ’90s used to have to DRIVE to a movie store to rent a movie — we love you.
Take a look at the brilliance!
