This kid is SO pumped about starting fourth grade and it’s the cutest thing ever

Thinking back on childhood, back to school season was generally met with equal parts anxiety and excitement. New clothes, new teachers and classmates require a lot of adjustments, and TBH, the new school year made a lot of us want to crawl back under the covers and pray for just one more week of summer.

But for every kid who ditched school to see the new Star Wars film, there’s a kid like Kevin, who is so unbelievably pumped about starting fourth grade that he can hardly contain himself.

In an interview with Fox 7 Austin, Kevin admitted that he couldn’t wait to start the new school year and make new friends mostly because post-fourth grade life involves exciting new ventures like going to fifth grade, college and uh, maybe high school (he’s not sure). His enthusiasm almost makes us want to go back to the the first day of fourth grade to see if we missed something, but we’ll take his word for it.

Before wishing the rest of the students good luck, Kevin lets his mom know that he is, in fact, NOT a baby and that he is capable of walking to school and doesn’t need protective gear to ride his bike. If that doesn’t convince everyone to be happy about him starting fourth grade, we’re not if anything else can.
