Khloé Kardashian didn’t give baby True Thompson a middle name, and that seems to be a Kardashian trend

What’s in a name? Well, apparently a lot. Especially when you’re a part of the Kardashian-Jenner family. There was much ado about Kylie Jenner naming her baby Stormi Webster after father Travis Scott, versus Stormi Jenner. And in light of the cheating scandal surrounding Tristan Thompson, many questioned if Khloé Kardashian would bestow her baby with her baller boyfriend’s last name. The guessing ceased when she announced the birth of daughter True Thompson earlier this month. But True’s birth certificate was just released, and we learned something surprising about the newest Kardashian: baby girl doesn’t have a middle name.

The birth certificate also revealed that True weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was born on April 12th at an Ohio hospital.

But it’s True Thompson’s middle name, or lack thereof, that has really caught everyone’s attention.

Though Khloé and her sisters have middle names (Kourtney Mary, Kimberly Noel, Khloé Alexandra), the new mom followed in her sisters’ footsteps by not giving her daughter a middle name; her nieces Stormi, North, and Chicago, and her nephew Saint don’t have middle names.

She may not have a middle name, but her first name isn’t completely random. According to Khloé’s mom, Kris Jenner, “True” is actually a family name.

The proud grandmother shared an Instagram snap of pink balloons last week and captioned it: “FUN FACT… my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton….my Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton…so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!”

Middle name or not, we love the family significance of True and we can’t wait for Khloé to share pics of her baby girl, who’s already been described as “cute with lots of black hair.” And it already looks like True has her own Instagram account, so the first photos should be coming any day now. *fingers crossed*
