Khloé Kardashian revealed why she rarely weighs herself
When you’re pregnant, you find yourself facing the scales a lot during your doctor’s appointment. Even though every woman gains differently throughout pregnancy, it’s a good way to get some extra insight on the baby’s development. But as far as general health is concerned, Khloé Kardashian isn’t fond of using scales to measure progress. And the reason why is purely scientific.
“Personally, I don’t believe in scales,” she said in a blog entry. “Muscle weighs more than fat! But our brains won’t calculate that. We’ll be super hard on ourselves and not take into account that we’re actually putting on healthy numbers.”
Kardashian also noted that while the number is important to know, it’s nothing to become obsessed with. And one bad thing about judging health with a number is the fact that it’s somewhat easy to compare numbers with others, even though everyone’s body is different. For Kardashian, she prefers to measure things by how she feels, which is a pretty decent strategy.
This isn’t the first time that Kardashian has sounded off about scales. As the host of Revenge Body, she revealed that while she started exercising during her split from Lamar Odom, her routine and her way of thinking is just for her.
"I don't believe that a weight defines you," she mentioned to Entertainment Tonight last year. "I don't weigh myself, because I don't care what number I am...I think to be happy comes from within."
It should also be noted that Kardashian isn’t afraid to go public when people try to make her feel bad about her weight.
We can’t forget this confident call-out from 2016.
First I'm too fat and now I'm too skinny. I love this game!!

We love Khloe Kardashian’s healthy perspective, and think it’s great that she’s so focused on her well-being first and foremost. Feeling good, and having confidence, is so much more important than a number.
