Khloe Kardashian discusses body inclusion and her new denim line, and so much yes

In an ideal world, clothing brands would service a diversity of shapes and sizes — but this unfortunately isn’t always the case — especially when you get to higher-end or designer lines. But that’s about to change, because Khloé Kardashian’s size-inclusive Good American Denim line just launched at Nordstrom in Los Angeles.

Whether or not you saw the trailer that depicted how badass it is, know that Good American is a very exclusive denim line that offers reasonably priced clothes in sizes ranging from 0-24. Yee-ha!

At the launch, Kardashian spoke about her reasoning behind the project with business partner Emma Grede.

"I think what was so crucial to Emma and I, is creating a designer denim that was still trendy and cool and edgy that went into a variety of sizes that for some reason, the market feels like they don’t need to produce, which is really unfair."

Even though her line is in the early stages, Kardashian is already thinking about how the fashion industry needs to advance and open up the possibilities for women who feel stifled in their clothing choices.

"I know it’s going to be more competition but we want them [designers] to copy us and hopefully expand their line into larger sizes and to real woman sizes and to really embrace this trend. We want it to be a trend forever."


While not being curvy ABSOLUTELY makes you a “real” women too, we definitely understand what Khloe is getting at — brands should ideally offer options for all women, no matter where on the clothing-size spectrum they fall.

Khloe went on to say,

"I used to be a girl that would walk into a boutique and they didn’t have my size of denim and I was really body shamed into being too overweight. I couldn’t fit into their denim. So I’m fighting for [...] all the girls with hips and curves, yes!"
