Khloé Kardashian says she’ll eat her own placenta after giving birth, and you do you, girl

It’s a personal question, but one that the currently pregnant Khloé Kardashian had no problem answering — will she be eating her own placenta after giving birth?

For those who are unaware, many believe that eating your placenta post-birth can help with a variety of postpartum health issues, including depression. Others believe that it’s a surefire way to boost your milk supply, which is important for mothers who choose to nurse.

The placenta, which nourishes the baby, is formed after conception, and according to WebMD, has proteins and fats that may be important after delivery. The site states that while there hasn’t been enough research done to determine whether or not eating the placenta is vital, it may help level off a new mom’s hormones. Conversely, the CDC recommends not ingesting it at all.

Again — it’s a personal decision. Some women who are on board with the possible benefits but don’t love the idea of eating placenta have theirs converted into pill form (several companies provide the service), while others decline entirely. But it’s looking like Khloé’s down.

Kim Kardashian has revealed she ate hers in pill form for the postpartum benefits (she noted that her placenta was “oddly big,” so it was delivered to her in “two jars,” LOL).

Sister Kourtney Kardashian is also a fan of this method, posting a photo of her placenta pills back in 2015.

And on the most recent episode, Khloé said she planned to follow suit.

"I'm going to eat it in pills," she said, later adding, "I really can't deal with that belly button, placenta thing."

We officially can’t wait for Khloé’s baby to arrive (and also can’t wait to watch the inevitable placenta-eating ep).
