Everyone is freaking out about Kesha’s surprise performance at Coachella

Unless you’ve sealed yourself off in a plastic, internet-less bubble, Coachella is no doubt plastered all over every single one of your social media feeds. But last night, everyone’s Instagrams and Twitters were blowing up with something WAY more exciting than crop tops and flower crowns: Kesha’s surprise appearance during Zedd’s DJ set last night!

She took to the outdoor stage to sing Zedd’s “True Colors” (with a gorgeous head of rainbow hair, natch) and it was truly amazing. Of course, this comes soon after a judge denied Kesha’s request to leave a contract with Dr. Luke, who she says repeatedly abused her. Zedd is one of the celebrities who tweeted his support for the pop star when the controversial news broke. Many of the lucky people who were there viewed Kesha’s performance as a triumphant return to the stage.

Both Kesha and Zedd hinted that they might have a surprise for the Saturday night performance, with Kesha leaving an Instagram trail of intrigue…

…while Zedd more bluntly told followers he had a big surprise in the pipeline.
