Kesha just tweeted support to Taylor Swift during her sexual assault trial

With all the craziness happening in the world right now, sometimes it’s just nice to hear that we have each other’s backs.
We just heard that Kesha lent support to Taylor Swift, who is appearing in court over the countersuit she’s filing against DJ David Mueller. (Mueller had attempted to sue Swift when he lost his job after she accused him of groping her at a fan meet-and-greet). Swift recently took the stand to describe the “despicable and horrifying and shocking” act of sexual assault that took place (and which Mueller has flatly denied). Mueller’s case has been thrown out, and Swift now seeks $1 in compensation for the traumatic experience.
As many know, Kesha has been going through her own traumatic legal battle against music producer Dr. Luke. But she’s still thinking of others, and reached out to Swift with a message of support and empowerment.
. @taylorswift13 i support you always, and especially right now and admire your strength and fearlessness. truth is always the answer.

No matter what your personal circumstance is, this message is relevant and important.
Kesha’s message has been retweeted over 7,000 times and liked over 22,000 times, proving that positivity, support, and love resonates (and also proving that so many of us are here for both Swift and Kesha during this time and will not stand for sexual assault).
On Swift countersuit: “She’s trying to tell people out there you can say no when someone puts their hands on you,” Baldridge says.

Whatever happens with the case, both Swift and Kesha are women who have stood up for themselves and their bodies, and we are so proud.
So many women are victims of sexual assault every single day, and we’re positive both Swift and Kesha’s actions will empower others to speak out.
Kesha and Swift inspire us to be confident in our convictions, and we’re supporting them every step of the way. Women are stronger together.
