Kesha just posted this cryptic message on Instagram, and we have some ideas about what it might mean
Over the past few years, Kesha hasn’t had things easy. In addition to dealing with and opening up about her eating disorders, Kesha has also been struggling through a lawsuit with her producer and alleged abuser Dr. Luke — and she just faced another series of setbacks. But this seriously tough star hasn’t let all of that break her down.
Last July, she embarked on her Kesha and the Creepies: The Fuck The World tour.
And she’s been having a great time! Not only has Kesha been killing the covers, she’s also been replaying and reworking some of her older music.
And now, it seems like she’s got something else in the works. Just check out this mysterious Instagram.
"Soon," she captioned the pic.
We don’t know exactly what is coming soon, but there are definitely a few things we’re hoping for.
Back in January, HollywoodReporter.com wrote about Kesha’s new album — and how she can’t release it thanks to her legal situation with Dr. Luke. Without his support as her producer, we can’t hear any new tracks. Kesha explained the lawsuit at her Baton Rouge concert this weekend.
"The reason I haven't put out music in so long is because I have a lawsuit from hell, and I just want you to know I'm fighting every f--ing day to bring you new music," she told fans. "I have about 74 songs done. I've had a lot to talk about. And I just want to thank you for being here tonight.... I think the person who kept me from putting out music, I think they expected me to lie down and take it. Shut up and disappear.... And I'm just here to say that person f--ed with the wrong...person."
And then she went on to perform her cover of Lesley Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me.”
The very next day, she posted that “soon” Instagram and, though it was technically on April First, we’re pretty sure it’s no prank.
We don’t know anything for sure — other than this. We need more Kesha in our lives.
We love you, girl. We can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
