You will NOT recognize Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid in “W Magazine” spread with these makeovers
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are some of the most recognizable faces and names in the modeling world today. Not only do they slay every single runway and photo shoot they do, they’re real life BFFs, too! And what’s better than doing a photo shoot with your best friend? NOTHIN’ WE TELL YOU, NOTHIN’!
However, in this shoot for artsy publication W Magazine, the top models are barely recognizable — that’s because the magazine made them into “humanoid creatures,” which basically means they gave them really weird noses and ears. But seriously, we barely recognized them!
The spread, titled “Placebo Pets,” is part of the magazine’s 10th anniversary art issue and artists Lizzie Fitch and Ryan Trecartin are the creative masterminds behind the whole thing. The artists apparently came up with the concept by wondering, “Who would survive if a superior alien humanoid species came to Earth?” The pair decided that “the friendliest” would survive, thus creating the idea of friendly, domesticated humanoid creatures.
Not only did Kendall and Gigi do the shoot, they also dabbled in performance art for the magazine, which you can watch below.
