Kendall Jenner’s DIY acne mask involves two ingredients you likely have in your kitchen right now
Models, they’re just like us! Everyone remembers the first time they broke out. At the time, it’s such an earth-shattering experience – though we often heard from our mothers or the important women in our lives that “everyone goes through it”. While we may not have believed that in the moment, the fact of the matter is, that statement is so true! Because even models such as Kendall Jenner break out.
Jenner has always been vocal about her acne struggle. Although she may appear to have flawless skin, it turns out that she works hard to get it that way.
On her website, Jenner shared her favorite DIY skincare secret. It’s an acne face mask that will shrink your pores and balance your PH levels. The catch is you will only need two ingredients to create this concoction: egg whites and lemon juice!
Jenner recommends that you mix one well-beaten egg white and the juice from half of a lemon. She advises that you then leave the concoction on your face in an even layer for 30 minutes.
If you’re not a mask person, she’s got you covered with a DIY spot treatment.
If you can’t afford to shell out the big bucks for the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, this spot treatment will become your new best friend!. To make the spot treatment, all you need is 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of honey. The combination of the baking soda and lemon will dry out the blemishes, while the honey works to soothe the inflamed area.
Back in March, Jenner was interviewed by Byrdie.com and also spilled another one of her biggest skincare secrets:
"I'm very simple and lazy with my beauty routine. I wouldn't say that I'm that daring. But I've always been super OCD about washing my face – and that's even before I started modeling. But it's definitely enhanced now because I wear so much makeup all the time. I wash my face at least two or three times a day."
Tonight, we know what we’ll be doing. Date night with your face never looked and smelled so good!
