Apparently Kelly Ripa is already BFFs with Ryan Seacrest’s mom, because, of course

Let us just say that Kelly Ripa’s secret to building a rock-solid work relationship with her new Live co-host Ryan Seacrest is genius. As a matter of fact, it’s a clutch way to build any sort of relationship with someone new, be it professional, romantic, friendly; whatever.

And that genius secret is…Ripa has befriended Seacrest’s mom, Connie, of course!

“His mom has also done a cooking segment on the show,” she told People in their latest issue, recalling that Mama Seacrest is no stranger to the Live set. “I fell in love with her. She’ll make a great mother-in-law.”

While only days have passed since Kelly announced that Ryan would be joining her on the hit show, these two go way back. And it’s not just Kelly who’s close with the Seacrest clan. According to the Ms. Ripa, Ryan’s basically a regular fixture around her and husband Mark Consuelos’ household.

“He knows my whole family,” she told the mag. Kelly’s three kids, Michael, 19, Lola, 15, and Joaquin, 14, are all used to seeing Ryan on the regular, too.  “It’s like, ‘Oh, Ryan Seacrest is in the house.’ Like that’s a perfectly normal thing to happen.”

And by the looks of it, Kelly and Ryan are just like family on their ABC show. Whether they’re trying out “cupping,” moving through funky yoga poses or just cracking up together on set, these two are ~always~ having a blast. Which we guess is just further proof that Ripa and Seacrest are a match made in co-host heaven.
