Kelly Clarkson has written a children’s book inspired by her daughter

While Kelly Clarkson has many stories to tell, whether that’s nailing her season of American Idol or living life as a Grammy-winning superstar, there’s one muse that’s always inspiring her: her daughter. Their bond is so strong that the singer is coming out with a book based on their adventures, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, and we can’t wait to read it.

Kelly announced the happy news over on her Twitter, revealing the cover and her inspiration in the cutest video ever:

The idea stemmed from all the cool adventures they share together that her daughter, River, is too young to remember.

“It’s kind of a cool thing to be on a plane with my daughter, we were going on trips to the U.K. and Asia and Australia, all these amazing places that she was too little to remember,” Kelly explains. “Basically I started writing down these little fun stories — of like when we went to Australia and she got to hang out with some kangaroos…the little stories ended up turning into a book.”

“I guess my hope is for little kids to read River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and be inspired by it, and know they can achieve anything,” she continued, “and still dream big and make big things happen.”
