It’s official: Kelly Clarkson and Sia make beautiful music together

Reinforce your window panes, folks: Kelly Clarkson is back to belting some serious tunes. Just yesterday, Kelly debuted her second single off of her forthcoming album (Piece by Piece) called “Invincible.” The power anthem was penned by none other than singer-songwriter extraordinaire, Sia.

It should come as no surprise to know that Kelly’s soaring vocals are a great match for Sia’s empowering lyrics. The song speaks to coming out of a struggle and becoming, well, “invincible”. Here’s just a taste of the second verse:
Now I am a warrior, a shooting star
Know I got this far, had a broken heart
No one hears the silent tears collecting
Cause it’s being weak, but strong in the truth I found
I have courage now, gonna shout it out
Teacher, I feel the dots connecting

Although this is Sia’s first collaboration with Kelly, she’s been known to write more than a few power anthems in her lifetime. Aside from her songs “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart,” Sia has penned “Diamonds” for Rihanna, “Pretty Hurts” for Beyoncé, and “Breathe” for Jessie J (and that’s just to name a few). Needless to say, we think this Kelly Clarkson-Sia collaboration is a match made in heaven. Anyone else getting a flashback to Kelly’s “Stronger” days?

Kelly’s forthcoming album, Piece by Piece, is set to hit the market March 3. Until then, we’ll just bolster up our confidence listening to this beautiful tune.
