Keira Knightly opens up about her hair loss, because it’s actually more common than you think
We all know that between the changing seasons, styling our hair, and the general strains of daily life, it can feel like our hair takes a lot of wear and tear. For actress Keira Knightley, being a performer has required her to change up her hair a lot over the years, including lots of dye jobs. As she tells People, changing her hair so much got to the point where it was beginning to fall out of her head.
Her solution? Wear wigs. Lots and lots of wigs.
On the topic of her hair, Knightley shares, “I have naturally crazy, curly hair, and since I’ve had the baby it’s become 10 times thicker. So now I’ve been finding quite a lot of dreadlocks.”
Interestingly, many people who give birth experience changes in their hair post-partum, so Knightley’s situation is pretty normal. Of course, changing up her hair for a number of acclaimed feature films is probably a little different than the reason most of us switch up our cuts. Still, it’s comforting to know that even celebrities struggle with their hair, right?
