Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are literally every couple on karaoke night

Cheesy as it sounds, sometimes stars truly are just like us — like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom at karaoke, for example. One half of the couple is always the enthusiastic star of the show while the other stays low-key in the background and maybe joins in on a massive group-sing, which is exactly what Bloom and Perry did during Shannon Woodward’s apparently rockin’ birthday party on Saturday, December 17.

As you probably already guessed, it was Perry who took on the role of karaoke bar kween, belting out Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” to a crowd that included Perry’s Westworld BFF (we still need to know where she is, btw) and TV personality Ronan Farrow.

Bloom, who met Perry at last year’s Golden Globe Awards, sported some ’90s-style California blonde locks (perfect for his “California Girl”-girlfriend) and didn’t take the mic on his own — but he was totally that dude who was more than happy to head bang while his lady did her thing.

Perry uploaded much of the night’s festivities to her Snapchat account, and Bloom’s enthusiasm throughout the revelries — they reported also sang Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated,” because of course — did not go unappreciated.

Now the only question is … when do we get the invite to couples’ karaoke night?
