Katy Perry is launching her own makeup line, and it looks absolutely dreamy
The makeup world is about to get Katy-fied (def not a word, but we’re going with it). Katy Perry is launching her very own makeup line with CoverGirl, and we’re pretty excited about it. Not just because we love Perry and everything she does, but because good matte lipsticks are worth talking about.
Perry is famous for her constantly perfect cat eye look (OK, she’s famous for a few other things too), and now we can all achieve that same look! Or at least attempt to achieve that same look, because let’s be real — we’re not professionals.
Her makeup collection will include the Katy Kat Matte Lipstick, which will come in 13 different shades — Coral Cat, Crimson Cat, Purrsian Pink, Cosmo Kitty, Magenta Minx, Catoure, Kitty Purry and more. The lipsticks are formulated to be more moisturizing than the average matte.
The line will include a Katy Kat Eye Mascara called Perry Blue, which happens to be the very first blue mascara ever for CoverGirl.The mascara will also come in three black shades and a waterproof option.
Perry didn’t simply attach her name to the brand, she had a hand in creating each product and helped design the packaging. Because of course she did. She’s Katy Perry.
The makeup will likely sell out extremely fast, so to be one of the first people to receive your very own Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks, 11 of the 13 colors are available to preorder exclusively through Walmart. Each lipstick is $6.94, and Walmart is offering free shipping. The first 100 people to preorder will even receive a lipstick signed by Perry. We have a feeling those are long gone by now, but hey, it’s worth a shot!
