Katy Perry is holding a contest to find a dancer for the “Swish Swish” video

Fancy yourself a dancer? Then you might want to listen up. Katy Perry is holding a contest to find the next best dancer that’ll join her on set for the “Swish Swish” music video. Entry is pretty simple — all you need to do is upload a video that showcases your moves, and hashtag it with #SwishSwishChallenge. Of course, you’ll also want to tag @DanceOn, who is helping run the contest, and @KatyPerry.

This might be the perfect opportunity to blast “Swish Swish” on repeat without anyone asking any questions. The song, which also features Nicki Minaj, is right off of her latest album, Witness.

You might have heard “Swish Swish” back when Perry performed it on Saturday Night Live. Whether or not you choose to use the moves of Russell Got Barzz, also known as “The Backpack Kid,” is up to you.

(We’ve tried to do it even before hearing about a contest — it’s way harder than it looks.)

Perry announced the contest through YouTube and included all of the details you’ll need.

As she said, she’s looking for everything — funny dancing, weird dancing, and some great choreography. The one restriction is that dancers have to be at least 13 years old to participate. It sounds like this might just be the perfect outlet for fun and creativity. Any opportunity to work alongside Perry is an opportunity worth chasing.

You’ll definitely want to act fast, as the submission period will close on July 12th. The winner is expected to film the music video with Perry by the end of this month.
