Katie Holmes shared a #tbt from when she was 17 (we imagine Suri will look like this as a teen)
We always love seeing celebrity #tbts because we’re suckers for nostalgia and glimpses into the lives of people we admire from afar. And as for Katie Holmes’ recent Instagram #tbt, it definitely gave us what feels like a glimpse into her daughter, Suri Cruise’s, future. Katie’s daughter is already the spitting image of her, so we can only imagine that she’s going to continue to grow into Katie’s face.
We also can’t imagine how comforting it would have been going through our middle school ~awkward phase~ knowing we’d come out on the other side looking like Katie Holmes. Although, it doesn’t look like Katie Holmes HAD an awkward phase since she was this adorbs at 17, for which we are eternally envious.
We also love the thought behind her ‘gram. Her caption reads:
"what a huge gift to be cast in this movie at 17. I am so grateful to have the privilege to make movies. ❤️"
It’s definitely a huge privilege to be able to make a living doing what you love, especially when what you love is wrapped up in an industry as fickle and unreliable as entertainment. It’s difficult making a living out of the arts, and those who get to do it are definitely lucky on top of being dedicated and talented. We love that Katie took this moment to be thankful for the life she’s been lucky to lead!
And if we were Suri Cruise, we’d definitely be taking a moment to be thankful that the future looks like it belongs on the top of a Christmas tree.
