Katie Holmes wants to clear up those annoying marriage rumors

Ever since her divorce from Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes has been the subject of gossip (all of it speculating about her relationship status). She’s only one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood so, like, go figure. After much speculation, Katie Holmes finally cleared up her relationship status (although there’s still ample speculation that Katie Holmes and Rick Foxx are a thing.) We’re sure it’s frustrating to have your personal life the topic of public discussion, but Katie Holmes was, characteristically, super polite in shutting the gossip mill down.

A NY Times reporter asked her, “So are you still single, or is there a secret marriage we have to talk about?”

Katie responded, "No, I'm not married, but thank you for asking."

The rest of the interview with the NY Times, though, is definitely worth a read, including an empowering statement about how she got the network to agree to letting her direct an episode of her upcoming Jackie Kennedy series, in which she stars.

"I said, 'You’ve got to give me one episode.' We gotta speak up, Kathryn, we gotta speak up and get what we want, because no one’s going to give it to us."
