Katie Holmes looks like a living statue in this rust-colored dress
How is it that Katie Holmes always manages to choose outfits that are so unique and surprising in the best of ways? And Holmes’ premiere dress for The Kennedys – After Camelot knocks it out of the park yet again. She wore a long, velvet, rust-colored dress from designer Alberta Ferretti. We can’t get enough of the intricate lace detailing, not to mention the incredibly unique color (seriously).
Together with a dash of rouge on her lips, Holmes looks like a living statue! And that is a major compliment, girl.
She complimented the dress with nude, strappy Tamara Mellon heels.
To top it off, Holmes is positively glowing in neutral-toned makeup by Kindra Mann.
As well as kicking it on the red carpet and portraying one of history’s most well known figures, Holmes is building off her directing success on the feature All We Had by helming an episode of After Camelot. Talk about wearing different hats! In typical Holmes style though, she crushed it.
"It was amazing as an actor to be directed by another actor, actress Kristen Hager (who plays Joan Kennedy) told People. "She’s got such fantastic instincts that she gives great notes, and elevates the scenes to really great places. So I would love to work with her again as a director."
Apparently Holmes even brought daughter Suri to the set so she could see her mom calling the shots, and even made Suri her very own director’s chair! Sooooo cute. Suri is one lucky kid.
