The internet is living for this soulful Michael Jackson gymnastics routine
Ready for your new favorite video? If you’re a fan of Michael Jackson, gymnastics, or both, you’re going to love this. A video of UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi is going viral today, January 14th, after she competed with her school in the Collegiate Challenge competition in Anaheim, California on Saturday. The video showcases her routine, and it’s easy to see why she received a perfect score—yes, perfect.
Her seriously impressive moves are enough to warrant a perfect score (not to mention the fact that she performed to a soundtrack of Motown hits, including plenty of MJ songs). But it’s her pure joy that’s captivating the internet.
Words can’t do justice to Ohashi’s performance, so it is imperative that you see it for yourself—and if you want to share it with everyone you know, we definitely don’t blame you.

Of course, the internet is losing its mind, and people can’t stop watching or talking about Ohashi’s routine. Like this tweet points out, there’s literally nothing not to love about it:
Me. Yes. The Michael Jackson mix. The leotard. The gymnastics. The splits. Everything. https://t.co/yE77yjFoiQ

And then there’s this tweet, which points out that this isn’t the first time she’s pulled off something this amazing:
I love everyone discovering @katelyn_ohashi’s floor routine. She’s a class act with an incredible story. Plus, she shows how fun college gymnastics is. Check out her Michael Jackson routine from last year if you haven’t!

This person is right. Ohashi has done this before, including dancing to Jackson’s songs, and it was just as incredible to see.

We have a feeling that we’re going to see a lot more of Ohashi. She’s so talented, and we can’t wait to see her future routines. Do Ariana Grande next?
