We love how Kate Middleton updated this skirt suit she wore 5 years ago

Of all the celebrity and royal closets we would love to spend a day in, Kate Middleton’s is definitely at the top of the list. Case in point? The fact that she re-wore a tailored burgundy skirt suit from FIVE years ago and made it look chic as ever. Based on that fact alone, we’re pretty sure her closet must be packed with the best styles of the last decade.

Middleton was spotted wearing the matching set, made by Paule Ka (a French ready-to-wear brand), at an event in South Wales as the Patron of Action for Children. Middleton took over the position from the Queen herself.

This time around, she paired the suit with a black turtleneck and knee-high heeled black boots (by Stuart Weitzman). Last time she wore it, in 2012, she paired it with a lace shirt and black heels.

We’re taking this as a lesson in reworking the classics in our own wardrobes. Maybe it’s because she’s a royal and in our own royal fantasies we imagine wearing a glamorous new outfit every single day, but it’s always refreshing to see fashion icons like Kate re-wearing their favorite pieces.
