Kate Middleton channeled Fleur Delacour from Harry Potter in her latest look
As Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton often opts for chic yet simple looks for her public appearances—and despite the “protocol” she has to follow as a royal, she always manages to serve up serious style inspo. Most recently, the duchess stepped out in a cape coat straight out of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. According to the royal family website, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrapped up a two-day visit to Northern Ireland today, February 28th. This morning, they headed to Ballymena and met with the Northern Ireland Police Service at Hillsborough Castle. InStyle notes thatMiddleton wore a knee-length Mulberry cape coat to the meeting, which she accessorized with navy heels and sapphire earrings. Her outerwear made for a look straight from the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s coat is the exact same shade of periwinkle as the Beauxbatons uniform, and the silhouettes of both outfits are strikingly similar. We wouldn’t be surprised if Middleton was a secret classmate of Fleur Delacour’s at this point.
Middleton later removed the coat, but she stayed in the same color palette, wearing a belted, royal blue dress.

We’re all about Middleton’s latest look—and we think Madame Maxime would approve, too.
