Drop everything: You need to see 7-year-old Kate Middleton in this ’80s ad
We didn’t think that Kate Middleton could get any cuter than she is walkin’ around in her uber stylish clothes with her precious kids but we were super wrong, because the Duchess of Cambridge was in an ’80s ad that’s totally melting our hearts, even thirty years later. In 1989, Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton took an ad photo with her kids for the family brand, Party Pieces. Obviously this photo includes a very young, very adorable Kate Middleton, and we definitely see where her adorable kids got their adorable-ness.
You can check out the picture on the Party Pieces website, but be ready for a cuteness overload, f’real.
But modeling wasn’t the only thing lil’ Kate Middleton did for the family business. In her post about Party Pieces’ history, Carole Middleton was adamant that it’s always been a family company, and we love it.
"It is still very much a family business today, and over the years all my children have played a huge part in it from modeling for the catalogue to developing new categories for the brand."
We also adore that Kate Middleton’s family’s business was definitely an endeavor had to work for. It seems like the Duchess of Cambridge grew up with an excellent role model in her mother, not that we’re surprised.
"At that time there was very little partyware available on the high street, and being a mum who was new to hosting children's parties, finding the simplest of things like party bags was a real challenge. I produced a little flyer which I circulated in local playgroups and very soon I was using our garden shed as a picking/packing room and office."
Fingers crossed for some more #tbts from Party Pieces in the future…
