Kate Beckinsale had the most hilarious response when asked if Sarah Silverman was her daughter
What do you do when a commenter mistakes your ex’s girlfriend for your daughter? Roll with it. At least, that’s what Kate Beckinsale did when an Instagrammer mistook Sarah Silverman for her daughter.
It all went down when the Underworld actress posted a picture of herself and her friends having dinner in Hollywood on Instagram. A fan took one look at the photo and assumed the brunette beauty seated to the right was Kate’s 18-year-old daughter Lily, instead of Sarah Silverman. When asked about it, Beckinsale responded — hilariously calling Sarah her granddaughter!
You gotta love a woman with a hilarious sense of humor, and Kate Beckinsale is definitely one of them.
"That sarah is your daughter?," the fan asked on Instagram. "Pretty like you @katebeckinsale."
And instead of getting up in arms, Kate responded in the most hilarious way!
"Granddaughter," Kate replied. “We are very proud of her."
If you’re a little out of the loop, Kate shares her daughter with actor and director Michael Sheen. The two dated in the ’90s and split in 2003. The actors are still good friends and co-parent like champs.
Sarah and Michael began dating in 2014, and Kate is totally cool with it. In fact, Kate has been known to shower the comedic actress with praise and compliments and the two seem to be good friends. In fact, this is what happens when they run into each other on the red carpet:
