Karl Lagerfeld designed a $3000 box of colored pencils and we’re drooling

Adult coloring books are one of the top trending things as of now, and rightfully so! Television shows, movie franchises, and even pop culture phenomenons have all jumped onto the coloring book band wagon. And while most of these books are extremely affordable, you’d think you’d pick up an equally affordable medium to express yourself, right?

Well, if you’re Karl Lagerfeld, that’s not exactly the case! The iconic Chanel designer actually teamed up with art company Faber-Castell, Lagerfeld’s go-to when it comes to art and sketching, to design a drool-worthy box of colored pencils that cost almost $3000!

The Karlbox contains 350 tools for drawing and painting, all nestled in a custom box that resembles “a traditional Chinese wedding chest.” The extremely chic set also includes “Polychromos color pencils, Pitt ink pens and Castell 9000 graphite pencils along with brushes, a foldable cup, erasers and sharpeners.”

“What amuses me while drawing is the fact to draw. To me drawing is like breathing and writing. These are things that almost relax me,” Lagerfeld said.

Seriously, this thing is SO drool worthy. Unfortunately, the Karlbox is already sold out online, as is it has a limited release of only 2500 boxes. You can check out Faber-Castell stores, Karl Lagerfeld boutiques, and Harrods in the meantime to find the coveted pencil box in the meantime.
