So THIS is how the Kardashians all have those sleek bendy beach waves
Over the past decade, few celebrities have inspired hair trends (and hair envy!) quite like the Kardashians. Whether Khloe Kardashian is rocking her signature high pony or Kim Kardashian’s sporting textured waves, the sisters Kardashian/Jenner are always a step ahead when it comes to trendy tresses. If you’ve been wondering how to get those signature California girl beach waves, their hairstylist Jen Atkin just showed everyone how…and it requires no trip to the sand. Really!
Atkin, who has worked her magic on pretty much all members of the Kardashian/Jenner crew, has her own hair-care line, called Ouai (that’s pronounced “way,” which is so laid-back and beachy) and she just gave a super-easy tutorial for her most famous look.
With just three products and two tools from her line, Atkin showed Vogue Australia how to snag the look, which is so easy for any of us, even if Australia is a long plane ride and a dream away. First, she sprays the model’s hair with Ouai Wave Spray, Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray, and Ouai Matte Pomade. Then she uses a diffuser on the hair, bunching it by section, holding each for 30 seconds.
Finally, she uses a flat iron (yes, really!) to bend each section in opposite directions, giving that effortless look.
