Kim Kardashian said we won’t get a Kardashian Christmas card this year for a “dramatic” reason

Since the dawn of time, the Kardashian family has posed for an epic family Christmas photo. We expect it every year, but 2018 will officially be the first time we, gasp, don’t get one.

In 2017, only the women and children (sans a pregnant Kylie Jenner) appeared in the annual photo (with the West family posing for a separate set). We assumed they would take the women-only route again this year, seeing as Kanye West’s Trump love is problematic, Tristan Thompson’s cheating is unforgivable, Travis Scott doesn’t seem that into taking photos, and Rob Kardashian has basically seceded from the family. But it turns out they might just cancel the whole thing entirely.

A fan tweeted on November 20th: “I feel like with the drama that happened last year, we may not get a Kardashian Christmas card this year.” Kim Kardashian retweeted it and added, “Wow reading my mind.”

And it seems we now have official word that the card won’t be happening, with Kim confirming the news at the KKW Beauty pop-up shop in the South Coast Plaza mall. When asked why, she said,

"I have to say, in thanks to last year's Christmas card, that really did just f--k us over," Kim explains, per E! News. "That was so dramatic."

Kim is, of course, referring to the now-infamous incident in which she and Kourtney clashed over whether or not Kourtney was making time for the card or even “exciting to look at.” Kim also said that the card has just gotten increasingly more difficult to coordinate as the family grows. “Kris Jenner has given up. She just is like, ‘I don’t have the energy to wrangle all my kids anymore, and their kids.’”

We get it, lady. We too would find coordinating six kids, their respective S.O.’s, and a growing brood of Kardashian-Jenner babies difficult. But that doesn’t mean we’re not still keeping our fingers crossed for next year.
