Colombia may be famous for many things, but it has a new claim to fame: pop princess and bad ass extraordinaire Kali Uchis. The 23-year-old musician is helping to further the notion that Latinx can and are changing the game. The self-proclaimed “dislikable Colombian girl” is making a name for herself thanks to her studio debut, Por Vida, an autobiographical nine song venture that features crooning melodies like “Call Me,” and more upbeat tracks like “Rush” that will get you moving no matter where you are. Oh and she’s featured on the new Gorillaz album.

We love that Kali finds inspiration from the ’90s, choosing to style hers with a thick, blinged out cross choker, some denim, a belt that says “kali” on it, and a classic pair of hoop earrings. No shade to Clueless (as if!) but we are totally vining off of Kali’s look. One of our favorites has to be this sticky sweet look, complete with the cutest beret of all. Clad in an all-white ensemble, the singer looks like stardust in a white slip, blazer, and lace-up thigh high boots. She finishes the look with a white beret and lace choker, giving off total millennial meets Clueless vibes.
3This glam all-black ensemble
Pulling off this over-the-top look is no easy feat, but Kali makes it look effortless. One of our favorite looks has to be how the Colombian stunner wore a matching denim set: the top was a belly shirt, tied above the bellybutton, right above the bust. Kali also wove fake daisies into her hair, looking like a summer teenage dream straight out of the ’70s. This vibe feels perfect for the approaching warmer days, so we’ll be definitely taking style cues and stealing this look.
