Kaley Cuoco opened up about starting a family, and why she’s “not quite there yet”

Kaley Cuoco is 32, at the height of her career, and newly married—and because of all this, she’s not ready to have kids just yet. First of all, we totally get it. Unlike previous generations, women are now more likely to have babies in their 30s than they are in their 20s because many women want dream jobs and financial stability before entering motherhood. Cuoco sounds just like any other millennial.
Entertainment Tonight checked in with the Big Bang actress three months after her wedding to Karl Cook, and while Cuoco said she knows she wants kids one day, that day is not today.
“I’m definitely—I’m not there yet, she said. “I’m not quite there yet but I know that I will be 'cause I love kids. But I’m a worker bee right now—kind of my career is my focus and my husband. But, we love kids and we love animals so we’re meant to have children.
The Big Bang Theory cast is currently filming Season 12 of the long-running show, which will be its last. Cuoco said news of the show’s end left her “drowning in tears,” so we can’t imagine she would be ready to start a family before her beloved show wraps.

However, she did share a super cute photo of her husband holding their friend’s newborn baby and captioned the photo: “family practice.”
Cuoco has always been a loving dog and horse mom, so we have no doubt she’ll adjust to motherhood like a champ whenever she’s ready.
