Kaley Cuoco just got engaged to boyfriend Karl Cook, and the moment was captured on video
‘Tis the season to put a ring on it! After the excitement of a royal engagement, another one of our favorite people said “yes.” The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco got engaged, and fiancé Karl Cook caught it all on camera. Our engagement excitement is officially back to level 10.
Cook popped the question on Cuoco’s 32nd birthday, November 30th. He posted a video on Instagram of Cuoco’s immediate reaction, which included sobbing, laughing, breathlessness — girl, we feel you! According to People.com, Cook pulled out all the stops before the proposal. He treated his to-be bride to a candlelit dinner, for which he designed a menu (how cute is he?), and served all of Cuoco’s favorite foods.
The couple, who began dating in 2016, share a love for art and horses — Cook is an accomplished equestrian. And, if you’re a believer in fate, ‘Cuoco’ is Italian for ‘cook.’ They already share the same last name!
"Well after nearly two years I finally got up the courage to ask her to marry me," Cook captioned his video. "This is the best night of my life and I think the video shows it is the best night for kaley as well.....if she said yes!!!!!"
Cuoco posted the same video on her own Instagram adding the caption, "Still crying 💍 every part of this night has been perfection just like you @mrtankcook I love you forever!"
Just hours before cook popped the question, he teased Cuoco while the two shopped at Target. He held up a giant diamond napkin ring, joking that he “got her everything she has always wanted.” Foreshadowing on point!
Later, Cook shared a close-up photo of Cuoco’s actual engagement ring.
Finally, fans got to see the post-proposal cool down where Cook and Cuoco embraced and slow danced around the room.
"In life, there is nothing like dancing right after getting engaged," Cook captioned the last video of the evening. "The purity and grace of the moment are inexplicable, it is truly as though life were a balloon bouncing on the smoothest zephyr. Honey; all I want is to be a balloon bouncing, bobbing, and flowing through life together. You are my everything."
