These photos of the Big Bang Theory cast crying after their final table read hit so close to home
We’ve known that the 12th season of the Big Bang Theory would be its last since last summer—but that doesn’t make saying goodbye to television’s longest-running multi-camera sitcom any easier. And we’re not the only ones steeling ourselves. The Big Bang cast took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 24th, to commemorate their final table read…and by the looks of things, they have even more feelings about the show ending than we do.
Kaley Cuoco uploaded a photo of herself clutching a sweatshirt to her chest and tearing up on set. “Post table read for @bigbangtheory_cbs finale episode,” she captioned the emotional shot.
Then, as if that wasn’t heart-wrenching enough, she added a snapshot of her final script, obscured by a mountain of tissues. “Prepare yourselves,” she wrote, “for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words. Our whole universe …. @bigbangtheory_cbs.” TBH, this will 1,000% be us watching the series finale.
Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) also had some things to post; namely, this group hug that has us feeling things:
Johnny Galecki also shared evidence of tears with this candid Insta, writing: “This morning was not an easy one. The final table reading for @bigbangtheory_cbs So very sad. So very grateful.”
And Mayim Bialik posted a heartfelt tribute to her co-star Melissa Rauch, writing, “We have cried together and laughed together and raised kids on a set together. I couldn’t have made it without her with any semblance of sanity.”
In conclusion, we are all extremely calm and not at all tearing up at work right now!
