Justine Morrison is our Illustrator of the Week!
If you’re in need of some adorable art that really brings the giggles, Justine Morrison if your new, go-to girl. The Sydney-based illustrator and graphic designer has mastered a punderful style of work that has our hearts overflowing with love — and we can’t get enough of it. Her work is colorful, bright, and super fun; perfect for when you need something to lift your spirits. What can we say? She’s just a gem of a human being, and has the joyful, quirky art to match — and that’s why she’s our Illustrator of the Week!

No pressure, but describe your art: Quirky, colorful and fun.
What inspires you to make things: My hatred of Mondays inspires my illustrations. I wanted to do something that people could have a giggle about and look forward to on Mondays.
Your favorite thing(s) to draw: I love drawing animals, beautiful girls, and cute boys with facial hair.
Medium of choice: I create most of my illustrations using good old Sharpie markers, then I color them using Adobe Illustrator.
The first time you knew you wanted to be an artist: For as long as I can remember I have always loved to draw, but when I was in high school, I used to love spending time making my notes look beautiful and decided I wanted to make a career out of it.
Proudest achievement so far: At the start of this year, I decided I wanted to do different pun illustrations every Monday, as a way of improving my illustration skills and to do something creative for myself. I never thought it would amount to anything.
The amount of positive feedback I have received from people all over the world has been amazing and it makes me feel so happy that people like my style and enjoy what I am creating. Also, being HelloGiggles’ Illustrator of the Week is very exciting!
Music you listen to while you work: So much Drake. I find his music is excellent to draw to.
Your most prized possession: I love red lipstick. I rarely leave the house without it.
Your personal hero: There are so many amazing illustrators who I admire and always look to for inspiration. My favorites are Neryl Walker, Kat Macleod, Anna Rifle Bond, Malika Favre, and fellow pun illustrator Gemma Correll.
The last thing to make you giggle: I am always giggling! I laugh when I am feel awkward, nervous, sad, and happy, so I can’t even pinpoint the last time I giggled.
Current project(s): I am currently working on my own line of cards and prints.
