Justin Trudeau photobombed a bunch of kids getting ready for prom, and it’s so cute
There’s not much that could make prom a more magical experience, unless, of course, Justin Trudeau makes a surprise appearance
For a group of high schoolers in Vancouver, this turned out to be reality when the Prime Minister himself came jogging past their prom group. The sharply-dressed crew had gathered to finish last minute preparations and snap a few photos when they saw a runner who looked familiar. Too familiar.
The high schoolers didn’t immediately recognize their prime minster decked out in gym clothing. It wasn’t until he circled back and asked “Who’s the bride?” that they realized this wasn’t just your average jogger, according to CTV News Canada.
"At first, we were like, 'Why is the prime minister of Canada running the seawall? And then we started yelling for Trudeau to get in the photo," Constantine Maragos, one of the teens in attendance, told Canada's CBC News. "We were stoked."
Next thing they knew, Trudeau was photobombing their pictures, jumping in the middle for the best prom picture of all time.
Lucky for us, the entire experience was captured by Trudeau’s official photographer, Adam Scotti.

Here we get a nice close-up view.

Definitely a framer.
Probably the coolest prom photo. Ever. @JustinTrudeau stopped to take a photo with these teens before prom https://t.co/37jQw6H20g pic.twitter.com/E5lSE4Bm5A

However, the fact that Scotti was conveniently there to document this, led several people on Twitter to believe the incident was staged.
Again, I don't think we can call it a photobomb if it's taken by PMJT's official photographer.

A reporter at CTV Vancouver countered that the prime minister didn’t plan it, noting Scotti often photographs the prime minister on some of his more mundane routines:
Nope, not staged. I interviewed people there at the time and it was not set up. Adam often does take pics of his boss running.

Staged or not, we know these teens had the best prom night of their lives.
