Justin Timberlake is dedicating his new concert film to Prince, which is so sweet

It’s so incredible to find out how our most beloved musicians today found inspiration. And it’s not a surprise that when asked, many people mention that Prince was a motivator for starting a similar career. After all, Prince was pretty much like no other — and even though Justin Timberlake started out in ‘N Sync, it doesn’t mean that he wasn’t influenced by our favorite man in purple.

After Prince passed away this April, Timberlake — like the rest of us — was extremely shaken.

In one statement, he revealed that it "would be silly to say that he has inspired our music … It’s beyond that. He’s somewhere within every song I’ve ever written."

So, it should come as no surprise that Timberlake decided to dedicate his new concert film, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, to Prince himself.

"His influence, and I have this in common with I think every musician of my generation and the generations to come, his influence is all over everyone's music and there's so much that I feel like I've maybe consciously and unconsciously borrowed from him that it felt...right... It just feels right to dedicate the film to him," Timberlake said.

Can someone pass the tissues?

The video will feature Timberlake’s last performance with the Tennessee Kids during 2015’s  20/20 Experience World Tour. The show took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It’ll be available to purchase on October 12th of this year.
