Justin Theroux just posted the sweetest message about Jennifer Aniston on Instagram

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston have been one of our favorite couples and are basically the embodiment of #relationshipgoals ever since it was confirmed the two were ~an item~. And Justin’s recent Instagram post, a tribute to his lady, is just the latest example of why these two are the best, most supportive duo in Hollywood.

For the most part, the pair tries to remain out of the media spotlight. Jen, in particular, is known for avoiding social media, not maintaining Twitter or Instagram accounts. On the flip side, her hubby often takes to Instagram to declare his love for his gorgeous, talented wife.

In an early Wednesday morning Instagram post, Justin shared a cute, casual black and white pic of Jen sitting on the floor and partially obscuring her face by making a hand gesture to the camera.

She looks relaxed, happy, and gorgeous (as per usual). In the caption, Justin called her his #wcw (we totally get it, she’s our woman crush EVERY DAY) and included a link to her recent article as a Huffington Post blogger.

In the article, Jen slams tabloid scrutiny and shaming of women’s bodies in the media and the unrelenting rumors that she’s pregnant. Jen firmly explains that she’s not pregnant and goes on to take down the “absurd and disturbing way” that society puts women through the ringer.

“If I am some kind of symbol to some people out there, then clearly I am an example of the lens through which we, as a society, view our mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, female friends and colleagues. The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing. The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty.”

Jen rarely, if ever, addresses the rumor mill (as she explains in her opening paragraph), so this article is really significant. She’s at her breaking point, and we don’t blame her at all. Her personal life and body have been at the forefront of each and every gossip mag for years. More importantly, Jen is using her huge platform to shed a light on overarching sexism in society, speaking out against double standards that set a woman’s value dependent upon whether they have a partner and whether they’re a mother.

“Here’s where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies.”

These are huge, damaging, and pervasive issues in our society, and we applaud Jen for speaking out so beautifully against them. Sexism is not sexy. What is sexy? Supporting your successful, smart wife as she takes down sexist ideas in media one by one. Kudos to Justin for being a supportive partner and using his own platform to spread the word about Jen’s amazing HuffPost op-ed even farther. #WCW and #relationshipgoals ALL THE WAY.
