Justin Theroux posted to social media for the first time since his split from Jennifer Aniston, and it involved puppies

Nothing says “I’ll be okay” like a pile of puppies. Dog-fan Justin Theroux made that perfectly clear with his most recent Instagram post. It’s the first post from Theroux since his  split from Jennifer Aniston was made public, and we’re glad to see he’s using the opportunity to promote a no-kill dog shelter.

Aniston and Theroux were linked for seven years in total. After getting engaged in 2012, they tied the knot in 2015. Throughout the years, they’ve been nothing but supportive of each other — which is why we were surprised when they announced their separation a day after Valentine’s Day.

"In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation," their statement read. "This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship."

The two have laid low since the statement was released, which is why Theroux’s puppy-filled Instagram post is noteworthy.

Not only did he include a bunch of photos of him and the pups, but there’s a video that’d melt anyone’s heart.

"Another very inspiring visit with the incredible people and pups @austinpetsalive," the actor wrote. "I cannot understand how they do what they do, day after day, so consistently and lovingly to save so many dogs and cats. I HIGHLY recommend going in and getting your nose bit by a toothless baby pitbull."

Theroux made sure to use the hashtag “#selenagomez,” following it up with “#Yeahthatsrightselenaididittoyouagainbutifyousawtheseguysyouddowhateveryoucouldtooalsoiknowyourechilllikethat.” Hopefully Gomez got a laugh at the mention.

The bad news is that the pit bulls featured are currently too young to take today — but surely, Justin Theroux’s adorable promotion is almost a guarantee that these guys will find loving forever homes.
