Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were in the same place last night and the Internet is freaking out

Last night, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez appeared in a Snapchat video together. Let me repeat that: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were in the same Snapchat video. Together. Which means they were in the same room, which means that they probably talked to each other, which means they could maybe possibly decide to officially get back together. You know, maybe.

The video was posted on preacher Rich Wilkerson Jr.’s Snapchat (the same Rich Wilkerson Jr. that presided over Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding – he obviously knows how to bring beautiful celebrity couples together), and features the Biebs and Selena laughing and joking around with a group of friends. Rumor has it that the pair were also spotted at the same church service on Sunday, so their reunion could be considered a match made in heaven.

Over the past few months, there have been debates about whether Justin started getting romantic with Kendall Jenner and/or model Shanina Shaik. Meanwhile, the world has been trying to figure out if Selena ever dated recording artist, Zedd after working with him on “I Want You to Know.” Near, far, wherever they are: Justin and Selena’s love lives are confusing!

The Internet is trying to decide how it feels about the two exes hanging out. Some fans are seriously rooting for a Jelena comeback:

Others are feeling a little more cynical.

To some Beliebers, his on-again, off-again relationship with Selena is old news. There’s a big portion of the Internet that doesn’t even want to discuss the possibility of the famous couple getting back together — so much so that they can’t stop tweeting about how much they don’t want to discuss it.

But many fans are trying to be as supportive and respectful as possible, which is really awesome. Exes becoming friends sounds like a great deal and a surprisingly mature move for a young couple like Jelena.

What do you think? Can exes be besties or will it just lead to someone getting hurt?
