Justin Bieber penned a super honest post owning up to all of his past mistakes
Over the holiday weekend, Justin Bieber got candid with his followers. In a raw, honest Instagram post, he walked his fans through his past and owned up to all of his mistakes, ending by stating that he is currently in the “best season of his life” with wife Hailey Bieber. And tbh, we’re super into this self-aware Biebs.
“It’s hard to get out of bed in the morning with the right attitude when you are overwhelmed with your life, past, job, responsibilities, emotions, your family, finances, your relationships,” he began. “When it feels like there’s trouble after trouble after trouble. You start foreseeing the day through lenses of “dread” and anticipate another bad day.”
Bieber wrote that he sympathizes with anyone who may have reached rock bottom and can’t see what’s left to live for. He’s been there, and he climbed his way back out.
“You see I have a lot of money, clothes, cars, accolades, achievements, awards, and I was still unfulfilled,” he continued. “There is an insane pressure and responsibility put on a child who’s brain, emotions, frontal lobes (decision making) aren’t developed yet…But when you add the pressure of stardom it does something to you that is quite unexplainable.”

At a young age, Bieber started believing he truly was god-like, as so many people told him.
And because of his inflated ego, he admitted he never learned how to take responsibility for anything. He also never learned the skills he needed to make it through life.
"Everyone did everything for me so I never even learned the fundamentals of responsibility," Bieber continued. "I was 18 with no skills in the real world, with millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted. By 20 I made every bad decision you could have thought of and went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged and hated person in the world!"

“I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships,” he wrote. “I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry.”
“It’s taken me years to bounce back from all of these terrible decisions, fix broken relationships, and change relationship habits. Luckily god blessed me with extraordinary people who love me for me,” Bieber continued. “Now I am navigating the best season of my life ‘MARRIAGE’ !! Which is an amazing crazy new responsibility.”

Bieber concluded his Instagram post from a positive place. “All this to say even when the odds are against you keep fighting,” he advises.
We didn’t think we’d get a pep talk from Justin Bieber over the holiday weekend, but we can’t complain. This self-awareness shows a lot of growth, and we hope Bieber continues to shape himself into the man he wants to be.
