Justin Bieber and Fifth Harmony had the most watched music videos this year, and tbh we’re not surprised

This year has been kind when it comes to music, and now the year’s biggest music videos have been unveiled: In some unsurprising news, Justin Bieber was crowned the most streamed artist by music video streaming service Vevo.

Bieber, who released his multi-million selling album Purpose last year, came out on top of Vevo’s 2016 chart with his song “Sorry.” The clip, which was actually revealed last year, has been viewed over 1,824,823,909 times, with 210,948,179 views coming from the U.S. this year alone.

Bieber also appeared lower down on the list, too. The video for “Love Yourself” was the ninth most viewed music video in the U.S. this year. Similarly, the star had three videos in the worldwide chart.

Joining Bieber at the top of the chart was Adele, whose video for “Hello” was watch a staggering 1,255,754,358 times around the world, with 204,603,192 views coming from the U.S. alone.

The first new song to be released this year to grace the chart was Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home.” After being released in at the end of February, “Work From Home” has been watched over 1,173,014,751 times. The track is the second of Fifth Harmony’s videos to have been viewed over a billion times, joining their 2015 hit “Worth It.”

Vevo also revealed that following his tragic death in January, David Bowie had the biggest most viewed single artist catalogue in 24 hours for the year, gaining 55 million views in just one day. Meanwhile, The Chainsmokers had the biggest year in terms of growth.

YouTube crowned a different track as the year’s winner.

According to the video streaming giant, Fifth Harmony had the most viewed video of the year, while following behind them was Calvin Harris (Taylor Swift) and Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came For.”
