Here’s how Justin Bieber tearfully paid tribute to Christina Grimmie
On Friday, June 10th, the world lost a talented and beautiful soul after Christina Grimmie was shot and killed during an autograph signing in Orlando, Florida. Fans have been mourning the loss of Christina, and celebrities have also been taking the time to celebrate her life; Adam Levine offered to pay for her funeral, while Selena Gomez dedicated a song to her at her recent concert. Fellow YouTubers have been showing their support on social media, and Selena’s stepfather, Brian Teefey, started a GoFundMe campaign for her family. This weekend, Justin Bieber also took a moment to remember his friend, Christina.
On June 11th, during his Purpose tour stop in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Justin dedicated the song “Purpose” to 22-year-old Christina, whom he met years ago when she toured with his then-girlfriend, Selena.
A video taken by a fan in the front row of the concert shows Justin laid on the floor of the stage, singing; he couldn’t help but choke up, singing, “Grimmie, can you hear me?” false
Our hearts go out not only to Christina, whose life was taken much too soon, but to her loved ones. It’s clear that she touched the lives of so, so many, and this week is surely a time of grief for the world.
