Just a Bunch of Reasons Why Jeff Goldblum is Wonderful

I don’t know about you, but I often tend to rank films by the amount of Jeff Goldblum. Wes Anderson films? Check. The Big Chill? He’s the best character—and yes I know Glenn Close, Kevin Kline, and William Hurt also starred in the movie. His episodes of The League, Portlandia, and Glee are my favorites. And, let’s not even get started with Independence Day or Jurassic Park.

Actually, Jurassic Park would be a great place to start, considering Goldblum just blew the roof off the Internet when he posed in a wedding photo with a dinosaur.

As just another guest at a friend’s wedding, our favorite fake scientist joined the bridal party running from an imaginary T-Rex (which was Photoshopped in later). The wedding photographer kindly shared the finished product on Reddit, and spoke highly of Goldblum, describing him as “the only one who really got into character.”

Figures. Jeff Goldblum is just the best at everything. For more proof, here are a bunch of other reasons why he wins at life.

He can wiggle his ears independently.

His voice is hypnotic.

Goldblum has leant his voice to several commercial spots for Apple, Toyota, and Procter & Gamble. He’s probably the reason why you own so many things.

That time he cleared up how to pronounce his last name.

Is it Goldblum (like plum) or Goldblum (like bloom).

His shirtless posing.

In both Jurassic Park and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou we can spot him—post heroic injury—striking a pose. In fact, his famous abs have inspired art.

He has his own one-liner.

The line “Must go faster” originated when Goldblum, as Ian Malcolm, was fleeing an angry T-rex in Jurassic Park; but, it can be heard again as David and Steve escape the mothership in Independence Day.

He’s in a band

That’s right, when Goldblum isn’t acting or running from dinosaurs, he plays piano in his jazz band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.

This picture. Man has swagger.Let’s not forget, he’s been making movies since the 1970s and he’s still killing it on screen.

And this picture. As if you needed more evidence that he’s really good at posing with Photoshopped animals.
