His girlfriend, photographer Alana O’Herlihy, introduced him to modeling. “She kind of set me up,” he told NY Mag‘s The Cut. “And from there it was sort of like dominoes.”

“I gave up on music,” he said. “I still love to play, but it’s too hard to make a living. And I think that was a mature decision to make.”
