Watch The Rock try *not* to cry during the latest trailer for “Jumanji”
Sooooooo, we’ve all been real nervous about the reboot of our childhood fav, Jumanji. Sometimes it’s really hard to handle somebody remaking something you love, you know? But now that we have a couple of trailers for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, we have to admit…we’re pretty into it. Like, it absolutely looks like something we should see over the winter holidays. It looks fun, action-packed, and modern in a way that both pays homage to the original and makes the material new and fresh.
Instead of a board game, this set of characters gets sucked into a video game, and we’re already lol-ing at Jack Black being the avatar of a teenage girl.
Our main question, though, is what on earth is Nick Jonas doing in Jumanji. ‘Cause, you noticed that too, right?
We’re sure some of you still have some nerves about this reboot, and we get it. But it’s worth keeping in mind that this is not exactly a cast of schlubs. Like, whatever happens, it’s going to be about two hours of Karen Gillan, The Rock, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart trying to survive the ultimate high-stakes game…and we don’t see how that could possibly be a bad time!
