Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich just got married!
Actress and Dancing with the Stars judge Julianne Hough officially married her longtime beau Brooks Laich in an elegant ceremony in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Saturday.
Hough first met Brooks, an NHL player for the Washington Capitals, through a mutual friend in 2014. The pair have been inseparable ever since, and became engaged in August 2015.
“I never really believed in the saying ‘when you know, you know,’ but my whole world turned around the minute I met Brooks, Hough told People. “It was instantaneous.
At the wedding ceremony, Hough and Laich exchanged vows outdoors in front of more than 200 guests, including celebrity pals like Nina Dobrev and Aaron Paul. (Hough’s brother Derek was a groomsman.) People reports that guests sat atop wooden pews surrounded by lush custom floral arrangements as they watched the happy couple tie the knot.
The always beautiful Hough stunned in a custom Marchesa wedding dress, while the handsome Laich rocked a Brooks Brother tuxedo.
Even their two pups, Lexi and Harley, got to participate in the fun. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniels donned flower collars and acted as official ring bearers.
Guests then enjoyed a catered reception that included fresh fish with slaw and chili aioli and braised shortribs. Dessert included a strawberry-rhubarb crisp. Friends and family noshed on the gourmet eats before hitting the cocktail lounge and dancing to tunes by Los Angeles D.J. Derek Monteiro.
But that’s not all. The couple had a photo booth for guests, a Sugarfina booth providing sweets throughout the night, and even a fireworks show. Talk about pulling out all the stops.
“I don’t think I ever really necessarily dreamed about my wedding as a kid, Hough told People. “But I know I will always cherish and remember it for the rest of my life.
Congrats to the happy couple!
