Wait, Julianne Hough’s wedding reception dress was actually a bodysuit
There’s no one way to be a bride, and there’s certainly no one way to dress like a bride either. While some brides prefer some subtle va-va-voom others prefer to flaunt what they got. For the bride who prefers the latter let’s take a moment to appreciate Julianne Hough’s incredible wedding style.
The Dancing with the Stars judge married NHL star Brooks Laich in an outdoor wedding while wearing a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline but changed into a sheer, airy dress with a bodysuit underneath for the reception.
The entire event made the cover of People, but we’re specifically going gaga over her pair of white gowns.
Julianne proved that you can have the best of booth worlds, with a little bit of planning, of course. And even if you only want to wear one look, we think that Julianne’s sheer bodysuit ensemble would be perfect for the bride who wants to make a statement at the altar, as well as on the dance floor. By pairing a floor length, white lace gown with a matching white bodysuit the look feels bridal but still unique. Thanks to the embellishments and details on the dress, like beading and flared sleeves, this look still feels elegant enough to be a wedding dress.
By completing the look with bronzed makeup and her hair pulled back with beachy curls, Julianne complimented the dress while still being the center of attention. After all, you want to wear the dress and not the other way around.
This Idaho wedding had fireworks, confetti canons and of course, plenty and plenty of dancing. We’re sure this is a night the couple will remember forever. And we’ll remember it too thanks to Julianne’s incredible bridal style.
