Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his wife just welcomed their second child, and so many congrats!
In incredibly adorable, super fantastic Friday news, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his wife have welcomed baby #2 into their brood. A rep for the couple confirmed that the baby is a boy, but no other details (including the little guy’s name) have been released.
So many congrats, guys!
Gordon-Levitt and wife Tasha McCauley (who is a super badass robotics expert, fyi) are already parents to an almost two-year-old boy, whose name and photo has also never been released. In a 2015 interview on Live! With Kelly and Michael, Levitt said,
“My son…he hasn’t made the choice to be in the public eye, and that’s a choice that I would like him to be able to make when he’s older, when he can think about these kinds of things and make that decision for himself. So, for now, I’m just a protective dad, and I want to protect his privacy."
We have so much respect for Levitt and McCauley’s decision to allow their children to eventually make up their own minds about celebrity when the time comes. Growing up in the public eye is no easy feat, and we completely understand the couple’s desire to keep their private life, well…private.
Levitt has also mentioned in the past that his wife prefers to stay out of the whole celebrity game, too, despite the fact that her husband is a famous actor. In a 2013 interview with Howard Stern, Levitt simply said, “The girl that I’m with, she really doesn’t want to be a part of that.”

Whether we ever know anything else about the new addition to the Levitt-McCauley clan again or not, we’re sending so much love their way. Major congrats, guys!
